State law requires Texas college students under the age of 22 to receive a vaccination or booster against bacterial meningitis (a quadrivalent or conjugate that covers strains A, C, W, and Y is required). The vaccine must be administered within the past five years and at least 10 days before the first day of classes.

Step 1: Check your shot record.
If you HAVE received the conjugate or quadrivalent bacterial meningitis vaccine within the last 5 years, proceed to Step 2 to submit your record now to Magnus Health.
If you do not see the bacterial meningitis vaccine on your shot record contact your primary care provider or your local public health clinic to schedule an appointment to receive it as soon as possible.

Step 2: Log in to Magnus Health.

MSU uses the services of Magnus Health SMR to collect, review, and securely store all student documents pertaining to the meningitis vaccine.

You will need to log in to Magnus Health to submit your record electronically. Your username and password for Magnus Health are sent via email. If you did not log in or submit your record right away upon receiving this email, you’ll likely need to have your password reset. You can either call Magnus Health at 877-461-6831 to reset or click “Having trouble logging in?” on the Magnus Health login page:  

Step 3: Submit your record to Magnus Health for review.   
Once you’ve logged in to Magnus Health, submit your record. Instructions for how to upload are available via Magnus Health.

Step 4: Approved!  
Once your record is reviewed and approved by Magnus Health, your Meningitis Immunization Hold will be removed from your MSU account. This process typically takes about 2-3 days after record submission.
