Biology Degree Skills
MSU Texas has identified marketable skills for all of its degree programs. These skills include interpersonal, cognitive, and applied expertise areas which are valued by employers, and are primary or complementary to a major. The marketable skills goal was designed to help students articulate their skills to employers.
BS Biology
- Biological Knowledge: Content knowledge of the diversity in the living world
- Field and laboratory Methods: Knowledge and practice of field and laboratory research methods
MS Biology
- Field/Laboratory Methods: Understand and practice field and/or laboratory methods
- Novel Research: Identify, propose and conduct novel research in the biological field
