Social Media Producer - Student Assistant
The Office of Marketing & Public Information has an opening for a Student Assistant Social Media Producer. We seek a creative-thinking and driven person who can anticipate and show the student experience at MSU Texas through photos and videos. The successful candidate will know about social media and creating content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in front of a camera, taking directions and giving directions from behind a camera. The candidate will be comfortable working remotely as a self-starter. The Student Assistant Social Media Producer will be responsible, but not limited to:
- Creative and driven to create quality content
- Familiarity with cameras, both still and video
- Familiarity with editing techniques
- Work on projects with other students
- Create relevant and timely content for social media
- Will provide camera and gear for assignments
- Will work some nights and weekends
- Can make their schedule
- $9 per hour
- Up to 19 hrs per week
- Will work for a national award-winning social media team

Student Assistant Photographer
The Office of Marketing & Public Information has an opening for a Student Assistant Photographer. The successful candidate will have knowledge of camera equipment and Adobe Suites software. We seek a creative-thinking person who can anticipate and photograph the student experience at MSU Texas. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking direction and working remotely. The Student Assistant Photographer will be responsible, but not limited to:
- Capture photos or videos at university events
- Edit photos promptly
- Create a library of university photos for future usage
- Work on projects with other student staff members
- Create relevant and timely content for social media
- Working some nights and weekends
