Moffett Library supports the academic mission of Midwestern State University. For people with disabilities the library will provide services and assistance that permit access to and use of library resources. Research Assistance
- The staff member assigned to the Reference Desk has primary responsibility for assisting patrons in searching the online catalog (Voyager), the databases, and the Internet. Contact phone 940-397-4171 or 800-258-8518.
Retrieving Books
- The staff member assigned to the Reference Desk will provide assistance in retrieving any desired materials from the book stacks and placing them at the Circulation Desk for checkout.
Retrieving/photocopying journal articles and book chapters:
- Staff at the Reference and Periodical Desks will be happy to provide assistance in retrieving and copying any needed journal articles or book chapters.
- Paper copiers cost ten (10) cents per page and are also equipped for copy card use at eight (8) cents per page.
- Microform copiers require the use of dimes which can be purchased from the Circulation Desk.
Adaptive Equipment
- A study room (Rm.246) is set aside on the second floor for disability use. Dragon’s Dictate Software is loaded on a computer, which also has a scanner attached.
- Another computer equipped with zoom text screen magnification software is also available. Access to this room is gained through the Circulation Department.
- A computer is also available on the 1st floor near the Interlibrary Loan Department with an enlarged font size for visually impaired students.
