Preparing for a session with a writing tutor
  1. Bring at least one copy of the draft to your session
  2. Bring the assignment
  3. Take some time to determine the most pressing issue you wish to discuss with the tutor
  4. Plan for a focused one-hour session. Please note that session times could be shorter depending on the assignment.
  5. When your session is over, take advantage of one of MSU's many community computer labs to work on the revisions suggested by the tutor.

We ask that students limit themselves to one visit/day.

Please understand that tutors cannot edit your paper; instead, our center provides a space for you to get some productive feedback from experienced readers who will offer specific suggestions for strengthening a specific essay and improving the overall quality of your writing.
