As part of MSU Texas’ commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for you and other students, as a new undergraduate student, you are required to complete an online training program called "Think About It". MSU Texas believes it is the collective responsibility of all students, faculty, and staff to be well-informed, active participants in building and sustaining a supportive campus community. The “Think About It” program serves to promote this endeavor.

What is Think About It?

The Think About It program consists of two online modules designed for students to learn about important and interconnected topics of healthy relationships, partying smart, preventing sexual violence, bystander intervention, and alcohol. Each module is informative and engaging, and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. A module must be completed in one sitting.

The first module focuses on Sexual Violence Prevention, and ways to identify, prevent, and interrupt sexual violence. The second module focuses on alcohol risks, patterns, and information. Students must complete both modules for the Think About It program.

Where do I go to complete the modules?

To access a module, please visit the links below, or copy/paste the URL directly into a web browser

Registration Hold

A class registration hold, titled SA – SAVE Act Hold, is set on students’ MSU accounts. Completion of the two modules for the Think About It program will remove the hold. In order to register for courses next semester, students must first complete their Think About It program.

Completion Verification

IMPORTANT - you must verify completion of both modules to remove the registration hold. At the end of each module, on the screen that says “Thank you for completing the program,” you must Verify Completion of Your Entry by clicking the “Verify” link. Select “YES, I want to verify” and then enter your name, MSU ID number, and email address.

Under the dropdown that says “Send my verification to: (Recipient)”, select Think About It Program, Clear Your SAVE Act Registration Hold and click Next. Then, to complete your verification, click the “I agree. Submit it” under Your Consent.

After completing your verification, you can print or save your certificate or screenshot the page for your personal records. This is recommended in case you need to show that you completed the module at any time in the future.

Disclaimer: MSU Texas and other member institutions of the Texas Tech University System have partnered with eCHECKUP TO GO Programs through the San Diego University Research Foundation to provide the Sexual Violence Prevention and Alcohol eCHECKUP online modules. The only student response data MSU Texas receives is the end of module verification as entered by the completing student.
