IELI is a part of MSU Texas, which is located in Wichita Falls, Texas, in the north central part of the state. Wichita Falls is a city of approximately 110,000 people and home to Sheppard Air Force Base, which is a training base for NATO military personnel.
The area has many educational institutions, multi-national corporations, and a state leader in modern medical facilities. Wichita Falls hosts the largest bicycle race in the U.S. every August. Many cultural festivals and entertaining events are held throughout the year. Some of the activities include rodeos, theater, ballet, concerts, fairs, and sports. There is a semi-professional hockey team and indoor football team based in the city.

The weather is hot and dry in the summer and mild in the winter. The average temperature in July is 97 degrees Fahrenheit, while the coolest average is in January at 52 degrees Fahrenheit. You will need lightweight clothes for summer, and a medium-weight coat for winter. MSU Texas' classrooms may be a different temperature than you are used to, so a light jacket or sweater is a good idea.
The MSU Texas campus is situated in a quiet residential area and within walking distance of the mall, restaurants, and theaters. City bus service is available if you don’t have a car.
IELI is located in the Bridwell Hall Building in room 107 on the first floor. (Behind the elevator). When you pull into Papoose road off of Hampstead Lane, look for the Horse Fountain which would be located between Dillard Business Administration Building (left side) and Bridwell Hall Building (Right).
