Who can be an FMA Peer Educator?

What does an FMA Peer Educator do?
Each FMA Peer Educator leads a section of MWSU 1230 once a week. This course is designed to help students navigate the transition from high school to college. FMA Peer Educators support students by providing information about campus resources, study skills, and life skills to meet the demands of college both inside and outside of the classroom.
What is the time commitment?
Peer Educators should commit to 5 hours per week during the fall semester. One hour should be spent leading the seminar, and the four additional hours should be spent preparing for the class, communicating with seminar students, or attending campus events with the seminar class. PEs will also attend at least two training sessions before the fall semester.
Will I get paid?
Yes! Peer Educators are paid like other MSU student workers at a rate of $10.00 an hour. PEs can hold other on-campus employment as long as their hours do not exceed 19 hours per week.
