Getting to know your Admissions Counselor

Q: What is your favorite thing(s) about MSU?

A: Some of my favorite things are the beautiful campus and the fact it is easy to get anywhere on campus.  The classroom sizes allow you to have a rapport with the professors and the campus community feels like an extended family.

Q: Favorite place to hang out in Wichita Falls?

A: Any of the vintage shops here in town.

Q: What was the greatest lesson that you learned in college?

A: That I can do whatever I set my mind to do.  I believe that my greatest lesson was that self doubt or fear has no room in anyone's life and to have the persistence to keep moving forward.

Q: What was your favorite class in college? Why?

A: I enjoyed general psychology.  I love to learn about human behavior.  Although, math is not one of my fondest subjects, I did enjoy my contemporary math class because the professor made it fun and exciting to learn.

Q: What are you passionate about?

A: Helping other people in any way I can.  I really love to presuppose furniture and other items into fun, new and exciting pieces and using them in decorating for friends or family is a passion of mine.

Q: Who has had the greatest influence on your life?

A: I was fortunate to have many great influences in my life.  I couldn't just choose one.  My parents, grandparents, sisters, and daughter are a few.  Each one had their special influence in my life teaching me determination, patience, purpose and unconditional love and that life is what you make of it no matter what the circumstances.
