Upon admission into the Redwine Honors Program students automatically become a member of the Honors Program Student Council (HPSC), a student-run organization that assists the program staff with shaping the honors student experience. A significant part of being an HPSC member is joining its subcommittee system, which provides first semester honors with a personal stake in honors programming and goals, as well as an introduction to MSU campus life and to the honors community.

All first semester students join one of five honors subcommittees: Social, Service, Housing, Fundraising, and Advertising (see descriptions below). Members work with fellow subcommittee members to brainstorm, develop, pitch, coordinate, collaborate, and/or execute events and initiatives with the Honors Program. All first semester students are required to successfully complete one semester in your assigned subcommittee in order to maintain good standing in the program; subsequent involvement in the HPSC subcommittee system is voluntary.

Below is a brief description of each HPSC subcommittee. Please read the descriptions and then respond to the accompanying survey with your subcommittee preferences so that the Honors program staff can assign you to the appropriate subcommittee.
