Psychology research options that are open at the present time are listed below. Check with your course instructors to see if they are requiring research participation, and if so, how much. Others may not require research participation, but might offer bonus points for participation.

In order to participate in any of the studies listed below, you must be 18 years of age or older.

IMPORTANT NOTE: No research completed after 11:59 p.m. central on Monday, December 1, 2025, will receive research participation credit.


Memory for Videos

  • Description: You will watch a short video. Afterwards, you will be asked to answer a few questions about video's content.

Linking Actions and Objects

  • Description: We are seeking to better understand how individuals relate specific actions with specific objects. You will view a series of action words (verbs) and will be asked to link to the specific object words (nouns) that you associate with each action.

Memory for Color Words

  • Description: This study looks at the effects of font color on memory. You study a set of word pairs (e.g., mouse — cheese). Depending on your group the words might be presented in different colors or in black font. You may also be asked to make judgment about the words.
