"Winning Our Wonder: Remembering Woman Spies and Soldiers of the American Civil War"
Dr. Patty Wilde discusses her in-progress manuscript, "Winning Our Wonder: Rhetorical Re/Constructions of Women in the American Civil War," in which she interrogates the powerful relationships between rhetoric, materiality, public memory, and the web.
Dr. Wilde is an associate professor of English and director of composition at Washington State University's Tri-Cities campus. Her scholarly pursuits focus on feminist rhetorics, specifically as they concern history, historiography, and public memory; rhetorics of the American Civil War; histories of rhetoric and composition; archival research; and composition studies, with a focus on access-oriented teaching and dual enrollment programs.
