Midwestern State University (MSU Texas), a component of the Texas Tech University System, invites applications for the position of Vice President for University Advancement.
As the university’s chief development officer, the Vice President for University Advancement also serves as the Director of Development for the MSU Foundation, Inc., a private nonprofit organization supporting the university. The VPUA is responsible for enhancing the university's visibility and fostering philanthropic support to advance its mission. This role includes responsibility for the annual fund, corporate and foundation relations, major gifts and gift planning, endowment, capital campaigns, alumni and constituent engagement efforts, stewardship, and advancement services. The individual will lead the advancement team by example through maintaining a portfolio of top donors and prospects. The ideal candidate will also possess a collegial, collaborative leadership style and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The VPUA is a cabinet-level position reporting to the University President.

Search Criteria
MSU Texas seeks an innovative and visionary leader with the following:
- A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience and success in fundraising management.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and external relations skills or related experiences.
