Paying for College is Hassle-Free

Paying for college does not have to be complicated. MSU Texas offers many different options for tuition payment so you can choose the one that works best for you. You can pay your balance in full or with a payment plan. And you can choose to pay at the Business Office or by mail with cash, check, cashier's check, or money order, or online using a credit or debit card. It's entirely up to you.

Make Your Payments Online

It is quick and easy to make payments online using your myMSUTexas student portal. To set up online payments, log in to the student portal, select the Touchnet link, and follow the prompts to complete account setup.

Student Financial Responsibility Agreement

The Student Financial Responsibility Agreement (SFRA) is a requirement of all students at MSU Texas. Before students can register for classes every semester, they must acknowledge and accept full responsibility to pay all tuition, fees, and other associated costs assessed as a result of their registration and/or receipt of services. All students must accept the Student Financial Responsibility Agreement each semester.

Are Others Helping You Pay for College?

If your tuition is being paid by a third party, such as a parent, guardian, or sponsor, you will need to grant payment access by designating them as an Authorized User in your student portal.

International Payments

Midwestern State University has parterned with TransferMate to provide a streamline and secure payment method through your student account athat also reduces bank fees and improves your payment experience. With TransferMate, students can pay tuition and fees in their local currency from nearly any country.

Is Your Account Past Due?

If your account is past due, you will want to take swift action to prevent account holds that will keep you from registering for classes, requesting transcripts, and receiving your diploma. The first step is to schedule an appointment with the Business Office. We will help you develop a plan to resolve your past-due status and get you back on track.

Late Fee Policy

Students who do not pay tuition by the semester's void date will be charged a $25 late registration fee and a $100 reinstatement fee to have their student status restored. Students on a payment plan who fail to make payments by the deadline will be charged a $30 late fine.

Returned Check Policy

If a check is returned to the Business Office due to insufficient funds, stopped payment, inability to locate, or another reason, the student is responsible for the full amount of the returned check as well as a $30 returned check fee, or they will risk having their semester classes voided.

What methods of payment does MSU Texas accept?

Who can I contact for assistance?

For transaction-specific questions, contact TransferMate via Skype, Live Chat, Email or Phone. Details on TransferMate's Customer Service webpage.

Will I be charged for using this service?

All international payments made through TransferMate are completely free of charge although you may be charged by your bank for making a local transaction, this is unfortunately out of our control.

Domestic transactions are subject to a $20 fee to cover costs.

Why do I need to provide identification?

By law, TransferMate is required to identify the person transferring funds to their bank account. Your identification will ensure that you and your institution are protected against Money Laundering attempts.

How will I know if my payment has been successful?

Once your payment has been received, the pending payment will be removed and the transaction added to the Payment History in your student account center. Additionally, you receive an email confirming that your payment was successful.

How long does a transaction take?

Once TransferMate has received your payment into local bank account in your country, TransferMate sends your payment the same day from our account to your institution. These payments are generally received by your institution the same day if payments are received into our local account in your country before 2:00 p.m. GMT.

When will my payment be posted to my student account?

Your payments will automatically be posted to your student account within 24-48 hours from payment completion.

Where are TransferMate payments shown in my Student Account?

When the student registers, the payment is displayed on the homepage as a Pending Alternate Payment Method. Once the payment ia made and funds are confirmed by TransferMate, the student account is updated and it can be see in the Payment and Account History.

Can my family or other authorized users have access to my Student Account?

Students may set up authorized users to view their billing information and/or their student bill on their behalf.

Please note that, in accordance with FERPA, this does not allow the authorized user to view the student's academic records, course schedule, or other personal information.

Authorized users may view student account activity, make payments, and set up payment plans.
