What is the process for international transcript evaluations?

  • An evaluation is required for all international transcripts. Evaluations of international transcripts are performed by the Admissions Office at no additional cost to the applicant. If preferred, applicants can use a third-party evaluation service, such as International Education Evaluations or World Education Services, to have a transcript evaluation performed.


Which tests are accepted for English language proficiency?

  • Applicants from countries where English is not the official language must demonstrate English proficiency by taking the TOEFL, IELTS, ITEP, PTE, or Duolingo English Test. International applicants who intend to pursue a program that leads to TEA certification must take the TOEFL. TOEFL score must be 79 or higher, IELTS score must be 6.0 or higher, ITEP score must be 4.0 or higher, PTE score must be 53 or higher, and Duolingo English Test score must be 100 or higher.

How do I defer my application to the next admission term?

  • Send an email to Graduate Admissions stating that you want to defer your application to the next admission term. Include your Mustangs ID in the email. An application can be deferred only once and only one term forward.

  • Send an email to Graduate Admissions stating that you want to withdraw your application. Include your Mustangs ID in the email.


How do I appeal my admission decision?

  • If you are denied admission, you can follow the instructions in the Graduate Catalog to appeal the decision.
