Faculty and staff are coming together to support students, faculty, research, and more through the 2024 Mustangs Stand United faculty/staff campaign.

Working at Midwestern State University is more than just a job from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It's an opportunity to contribute to the education of young minds, advance research, and better the community. As a faculty or staff member, you are part of a community that is committed to providing access to a quality education to our next generation of leaders.

Investing in the annual Mustangs Stand United faculty/staff campaign is a crucial way to support our students and advance important initiatives that benefit our faculty, staff, and programs. Your contribution demonstrates your financial dedication to Midwestern State University. Every donation, regardless of its size, has a direct impact on our campus.

This fundraising initiative will support opportunities for students, faculty and staff, including:

  • student scholarships and success programs
  • graduate assistantships
  • opportunities for students to engage in research and creative activities
  • and more across the entire university

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is faculty and staff giving important to MSU Texas?

Faculty and staff participation plays a major role in ensuring success for MSU Texas. As faculty and staff, we invest our time and talent in the university and our students every day, but our financial commitment is just as valuable.

Why is your participation important? You help by:

  • Influencing gifts from corporations and foundations, which consider faculty and staff giving rates when determining their own support;
  • Providing support to areas of the university that are most important to you!
  • Giving is not about the amount, but about coming together as a campus - all gifts of $50 and under to MSU totaled more than $20,000 last year alone.

Who can participate in the campaign?

All full-time, part-time and adjunct employees are encouraged to participate. Additionally, if you are an MSU Texas graduate, your gift to the campaign will also impact the University’s alumni participation rate, which is reported to U.S. News & World Report.

How can I contribute to the faculty/staff campaign?

The most popular option is payroll deduction. A modest monthly contribution can, over several years, multiply into a sizeable gift. If you prefer, you can also make a one-time gift.

To make your gift: GIVE NOW or give through the PAYROLL DEDUCTION FORM

Does it matter how much I give?

The goal of the Faculty & Staff Campaign is participation. It’s not about the size of the gift but about your participation.

Is there a minimum amount for payroll deduction?

Yes, there is a $2 minimum for all gifts including cash, check, credit card and payroll deduction gifts
(by pay period).

Why is payroll deduction preferred for giving by faculty/staff?

Payroll deduction is the most efficient way for MSU Texas employees to support the campaign as it makes it easy to keep track of your gifts. Set it and choose whether you want to make a one time gift or support the MSU Texas program you care about most every month.
