This is a list of safety classes available from EHS. This list is not entirely comprehensive, and all classes can be modified to suit the needs of your OSU department or group.  To schedule a class, please email ohsp@okstate.edu or call 405-744-7241.

Construction Safety (Health)

Provides a general overview of the various health hazards that members can be exposed to on a construction site.

CPR/FA/AED
EHS Instructed

American Heart Association’s steps of performing first aid, CPR on adults, relieving choking and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Eye Protection

Provides a general overview of the personal protective standards, common eye injuries and how to prevent injuries.

Fall Protection

Required for employees who may be exposed to fall hazards to recognize the hazards and procedures to follow to minimize the hazards.

Fire Safety

Classroom instruction on basic fire safety, as well as guidance on proper use of a fire extinguisher.

Hands-on fire extinguisher training.

Forklift

Required initially and every three years thereafter for anyone assigned to operate a forklift as part of their duties.  Hands on forklift operations are required.

Grounds Safety

The OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Training Programs were developed by the OSHA Training Institute with the intent to assist employers in training and introducing employees to the basic practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating and reporting hazards associated with construction sites.  Upon completion of the 9 training modules provided under this program, the attendees will be issued a card provided by Department of Labor.

Cost: $40.00 per person / 50 members per class

OSHA 10-hr General Industry

The OSHA General Industry Outreach Training Programs were developed by the OSHA Training Institute with the intent to assist employers in training and introducing employees to the basic practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating and reporting hazards associated with their work. Upon completion of the 10 training modules provided under this program, the attendees will be issued a card provided by Department of Labor.

Cost: $40.00 per person / 50 members per class

OSHA 30-hr Construction
