Step 1: Application

  • Submit the application to McAda Graduate School via ApplyTexas. Application deadlines vary by graduate program. Refer to the Application Deadlines webpage. There is no summer admission for international applicants.


Step 2: Application Fee

  • Pay the application fee in USD via American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, money order, or check drawn on a U.S. bank.


Step 3: Transcripts

  • Request official transcripts from all institutions you have attended other than Midwestern State University. Transcripts may be electronic or printed. Electronic transcripts must be submitted by institutions to the Admissions Office through a transcript service, such as Parchment or Speede, or through SoftDocs. Electronic transcripts submitted by institutions or applicants through email will not be accepted. Printed transcripts must be mailed in sealed envelopes from institutions to Admissions Office, Midwestern State University, 3410 Taft Boulevard, Wichita Falls, Texas, 76308.


Step 4: Application Status

  • Allow some time for your application to be processed. Check your email for a message that will detail your application status and provide your Mustangs ID and PIN. Use your Mustangs ID and PIN to check your application status throughout the application process.

Step 6: GRE Scores

  • If required by your intended graduate program, request official GRE scores from ETS. Scores may be electronic or printed. Electronic scores must be emailed from ETS to the Admissions Office. Electronic scores emailed from applicants will not be accepted as official. Printed scores must be mailed in a sealed envelope from ETS to Admissions Office, Midwestern State University, 3410 Taft Boulevard, Wichita Falls, Texas, 76308.


Step 7: English Proficiency Test Scores

  • Applicants from countries where English is not the official language must demonstrate proficiency in English by taking the TOEFL, IELTS, ITEP, PTE, or Duolingo English Test. International applicants who intend to pursue a program that leads to TEA certification must take the TOEFL. TOEFL score must be 79 or higher, IELTS score must be 6.0 or higher, ITEP score must be 4.0 or higher, PTE score must be 53 or higher, and Duolingo English Test score must be 100 or higher. Request official English proficiency test scores from the testing service. Scores may be electronic or printed. Electronic scores must be emailed from the testing service to the Admissions Office. Electronic scores emailed from applicants will not be accepted as official. Printed scores must be mailed in a sealed envelope from the testing service to Admissions Office, Midwestern State University, 3410 Taft Boulevard, Wichita Falls, Texas, 76308.


Step 8: Application Review

  • Once your application is complete, allow some time for your application to be reviewed by the coordinator of your intended graduate program. Check your email for a formal notification of your admission decision.


Step 9: Admission

  • If you are admitted, submit the Admission Acceptance form. If you are denied admission, you can contact the coordinator of your intended graduate program to discuss the decision.
