What is Maroon March?

Maroon March is a week in March dedicated to celebrating the Maroon & Gold Spirit on campus!

Participate with our campus community by wearing MSU Texas branded apparel every day of the week and you have a chance to win special MSU Texas swag (while supplies last).

Maroon March Week Giveaway Times and Locations:
  • March 23: Campus kickoff, find us around campus!
  • March 24: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Quad
  • March 25: 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Quad
  • March 26: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Promenade - Maroon Block party!
  • March 27: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Promenade

March 26 Food Ticket Giveaway!
During the Maroon Block Party on March 26th, food tickets will be given to the first 150 students (El Norteño or Razzle's Italian Ice) courtesy of the University Programming Board and the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership. Plus, don't miss a Maroon Friday popcorn pop-up with Maverick and the MSU Texas Mustangs Football team.
Maroon March 2025!

Our campus community brought the Maroon and Gold spirit to life during Maroon March Week! Students wore spirited Mustang attire all week and enjoyed exclusive giveaways. The celebration wrapped up with a Friday block party on Jesse Rogers Promenade, featuring music, fun, and "stangs" up photos with everyone’s favorite Mustang buddy, Maverick.

Maroon March 2024!

Maverick T. Mustang and his posse roamed the MSU Texas campus during March looking for spirited departments, offices, organizations and proud Mustangs who exhibited our core values: People-Centered, Community, Integrity, Visionary, and Connection. Maverick and his team also spread a little maroon and gold spirit with a series of pop-up events throughout the month!
