Health, Wellness & Safety

MSU Police

The mission of the MSU Police department is to support the mission of the university by providing a safe academic environment for persons and property at Midwestern State University. This is accomplished through the detection and apprehension of criminals, the utilization of community-oriented policing, and crime prevention programs in an attempt to improve the quality of life on campus and to reduce the fear of crime.

Counseling Center

Through individual and group counseling services, consultation, and mental health educational programs, the MSU Counseling Center provides opportunities for students to know themselves as individuals, form deeper relationships with their peers, and increase their wellness.  The personal, academic, and career counseling services provided by licensed professional counselors in the Center enhance the skills of students in order to increase the likelihood of success at MSU and beyond.

Student Conduct

Midwestern State University is committed to fostering a campus environment that is conducive to academic inquiry, a productive campus life, and thoughtful study and discourse. The student conduct program within the Office of Student Conduct embodies an educational and developmental process that balances the needs of individual students with the needs of the MSU community.

Vinson Health Center

The Vinson Health Center is the student health center for Midwestern State University. Medical services are designed to meet the needs of students with acute illnesses and/or injuries and ensure each student maintains a state of optimal health. The Vinson Health Center utilizes an emphasis on preventative medicine to enable students to focus on the university curriculum and campus life.

Wellness Center

The Wellness Center opened in 2009, and is complete with the best fitness equipment available, including more than 75 pieces of free weights and machines, as well as over 50 pieces of cardiovascular equipment (each having an entertainment monitor).
