Duties: Woodwinds specialist, full-time, nine-month term, non-tenure track faculty position as Visiting Instructor of Music or Visiting Assistant Professor of Music. Responsibilities include teaching a twelve-hour load equivalency each semester, to include a combination of applied woodwinds, woodwind instruments class and ensembles, or other courses commensurate with experience and/or department needs. In addition, assess students, hold office hours, and engage in department, college, and university service. This includes, but is not limited to, recruiting, establishing strong working relationships with colleagues, and representing the music department on and off campus.
Minimum Qualifications: A master's degree in music performance with specialization in woodwinds or a woodwind instrument is required for Visiting Instructor appointment. A Doctorate of Music with specialization in woodwinds or a woodwind instrument is required for Visiting Assistant Professor appointment. Strong performance qualifications in more than one instrument is highly desirable. Reed instrument applicants are encouraged to apply.
