Admissions Criteria

To be considered for admission, the following basic requirements must be met:

  1. Be eligible for admission to MSU. MSUTexas Admissions
  2. Be eligible for readmission if the student already earned a BSRS or BSRT degree with MSU.
  3. Complete the online CT Certificate Program Application and submit a student copy of your most recent transcripts.
  4. Must be registered as a radiologic technologist (R), radiation therapist (T), or a nuclear medicine technologist (N), with the ARRT or NMTCB. 
  5. Entrance based on application and ranking process with committee selection.
  6. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater on all college-level work and be in good academic standing.
  7. Have reliable Internet access (high speed recommended) and a working email.
Application Process

Candidates for the CT Certificate Program must apply to the university and to the CT Certificate Program (current students do not need to re-apply to the university). Candidates who wish to concurrently receive their BSRS degree must follow the application process for the BSRS Program and submit an application for the CT Certificate Program separately.

Applications for the CT Program will be accepted only between April 1 and June 30 for a Fall start date.

Students may apply to the university at any time. 

Selection Process

Entrance is based on application and ranking process with committee selection. Please be aware that ties in the ranking are broken by date of application, then the hour, then minute. Fulfilling all requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

Students will be notified of acceptance or denial during the second week of July.
