How many credit hours do I need to take in a semester to be considered a full-time graduate student?
For fall and spring semesters, full-time enrollment is nine or more credit hours. For summer sessions, full-time enrollment is six or more credit hours. However, students in the Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner programs are considered full-time if they take six credit hours during fall and spring. The maximum course load for a graduate student is 16 credit hours in fall and spring semesters and six credit hours in summer sessions.

This applies only to students who have not graduated and who want to return to the same program of study.
