Education Preparation Services provide information and support to teacher candidates through their certification program in five student service areas.
These areas are: (1) Educator Preparation Program admission, (2) advisement, (3) field experience, (4) TExES preparation, and (5) certification in the State of Texas. In coordination with the faculty and staff in the West College of Education, the above services provide essential assistance in the preparation of future educators, and students are encouraged to take advantage of all resources available.
From program admission to graduation candidates receive advisement specific to their area of education, field experience placement as Midwestern State University teacher candidates, preparation for TExES content tests and TExES Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities (PPR) tests.
